What exactly is a resume profile (also known as the summary or personal statement)?
It’s much more than a story of your real estate industry experience and it’s not a personal statement. Your profile is professionally focused and shows off your biggest wins and your professional demeanor. You do want to add a little creativity, but don’t get too casual.
As a real estate coordinator, you act as a liaison between real estate agents, clients, escrow companies, and mortgage brokers during real estate transactions. These professionals rely on your ability to communicate, work in a team, and provide administrative support. Because they will be working closely with you, they want to get a sense of your personality.
You have 3-5 sentences (100-200 words), depending on space, to wow recruiters. Think about your proudest achievements, talents and milestones and highlight them here. Your Education Section can be a simple listing if you have more than a couple of years of experience in the field. If you are just entering the job market, you may want to move this section up and add any classes that are relevant to show hiring managers you have the basic knowledge it takes to do the job.
In most states, real estate transaction coordinators need to be certified. Make sure you list your certification here. If you have several certifications or honors, consider creating a separate section for them. Another category to consider is professional affiliations. Those can be added here or separately.
